All About Mrs. Engemann

Hello! I'm Mrs. Engemann

Hello! My name is Holly Engemann. I have been teaching at Queen’s since 2010. I taught second grade for many of those years and now I have moved to third grade. Before Queen’s, I taught a 3rd/4th split at Our Lady of Fatima. I graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2008 with my Bachelor’s Degree and graduated from GVSU with my Master’s in Literacy and an Early Childhood endorsement in 2016. I love books and reading! My husband always claims that I have too many books, but I always think I need more to share my love of reading with my students.

I am originally from Grand Rapids and came to Jackson for my first teaching job at Fatima. I have been married to Scott Engemann since 2009. You might recognize him as the drummer at 10:30 Sunday Mass. We have two children. Austin and  Curtis. We sure are blessed and the boys keep us busy, but we are loving every minute.

One of my biggest passions is teaching. I am constantly striving to make myself a better teacher for my students. I love learning new things to bring back to my classroom. In 2018, I was honored with being named a Top 10 Teacher in Jackson County. I was really excited to receive such an amazing honor. I am looking forward to working with your child this year in third grade. It will be a great year!
