MeetYour Teacher: Mrs. Engemann
Hello! I'm Mrs. Engemann, your second grade teacher. I was born and raised in Grandville, MI which is near Grand Rapids. I have an older brother named Bryan. I am also a newlywed, having been married one year on August 8! We have enjoyed married life so far! Scott (Mr. Engemann) is constantly helping me with creative ways to teach and helping me with the computer stuff. He enjoys coming to school to read fun stories to my class! : ) We have two pets, a beagle/basset hound named Mickey and a tabby cat named Simba. I have a lot of funny stories about them! I recently became Catholic and will be proud to call Queen's home. Make sure you say hello when you see us at Mass.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in second grade! My teacher made learning so much fun that I wanted a classroom of my own! I decided to go to Grand Valley State University... Go Lakers! I graduated in 2008. I got my first teaching job last fall at Our Lady of Fatima teaching 3rd/4th grade. When Fatima closed, I had the opportunity to apply and look for a different job. After many prayers and reflection, God has led me to Queen's. I thank God for my blessings each and every day!
In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling (especially in Michigan), taking pictures, spending time with family and friends, and exercising! My students always ask if I am a Michigan fan or a State fan. The answer is that... Our house is divided! Mr. Engemann is a true Wolverine! My team of choice is the Green & White! : )
